Topical Mini-Workshops
We have developed a range of short workshops aimed at clients who would like their staff to have a basic understanding in various areas relating to caring for elderly and vulnerable adults. These include sessions on helping to care for clients suffering from a particular condition/illness as well as more general areas of health care. This year, we are pleased to be able to extend the subjects covered by these mini-workshops by adding three new sessions. We also hope to introduce more new topics during the coming year. All sessions last approximately 1.5 hours. Up to 12 people can attend an individual session, and all will receive a certificate of attendance.
- Caring for a Diabetic Client
- Caring for a Client with Parkinsons
- Caring for a Stroke Victim
- Continence Care (new)
- Diet and Nutrition
- Catheter Care
- Pressure and Skin Care
- Colostomy Care (new)
- Care of the Dying (new)
Please let us know if there is a particular subject you are interested in that is not mentioned above, as our trainers may still be able to tailor make a session to suit your requirements.
